Our third suit is Cups. This suit is usually presented as cups, sometimes called Chalices, and its equivalent in the playing cards deck is the suite of Hearts. Color associated with this suit is pink and blue and its element is Water. The animal associated with Water is the eagle and the elemental of water is the Undine. Astrological signs attributed to Cups are of course the water signs, Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. Cups are associated with the West, the femine, the months of September, October, and November (making its season Fall), and the time of day between 6pm and midnight. The general meanings of this suit are reflections, love, romance, subconcious, psychic ability, emotion, beautry, art, fertility, and calmness. If occupation is a part of the question, these cards usually indicate clergy, doctore, therapits, chemists, psychics, artists (of any sort) and actors. The temperment of Water and Cups includes, emotional, deep feeling, dreaming, imaginative, psychic, moody, pessimistic, sensitive, nurturing, and at the worst depressed, emotionally unstable and disturbed.
Cups in general are a happy sort of suit, a lot of these in a reading gives me a good feeling.
